Jennifer Barber

Office Manager

Jennifer Barber started her career in the Florida Army National Guard as a Finance Specialist. She served her country for eight years. Jennifer became owner of KidzArt a national art enrichment franchise in 2004. Within her first year of ownership she had grown to the second largest franchise owner with her territories covering Citrus, Hillsborough, and northern Pinellas Counties. Her program was held at over 50 locations serving 500 children. She oversaw a staff of 30 employees. She received several franchise recognition awards. In 2006 she sold her franchise to be home with her children more as her husband's career demanded more of his time. In 2007 she became partner at DancEtc, a local dance studio. In 2009 she became sole owner of the business. The dance studio only took up a small portion of Jennifer’s time, so she took a position at a SEC a manufacturing company in Largo. While at SEC she helped reassess the company’s direction and create financial policies to ensure the longevity of the company. Jennifer enjoyed her position at SEC, but the commute was overwhelming. Jennifer took the position as Office Manager at UWCC in 2010. Jennifer is currently enrolled at Grand Canyon University perusing her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. She currently maintains a 4.0 GPA and is on the President’s list. Jennifer is married with two children.
