So You Think You Can Dance . . . Like A Star

Dancing this year were Phil Royal with Vickie Humphrey, Dr. Gus Fonseca with April Zay, Connie Lobel with Butch Phillips, Bob Bonomo with Alyssa Bonomo and Patrick Simon with Sam Himmel. Raising money for United Way, becoming more fit and having fun are some of the reasons for volunteering to perform in the dance competition.

 Judge's Choice and People's Choice Winners are

Winners were selected by a panel of local judges but primarily through monetary votes from attendees. Envelopes were placed at the tables to be marked for the favorite dancers and ballots are counted with the dollar donations in the form of dollars raised. Humorous comments were provided by the witty Master of Ceremonies Josh Wooten.  Josh has the innate ability to comment on professional  dancing even though he has never danced before himself.

This year our event sold out early. We had over 400 people in attendance. United Way of Citrus County was able to net $ 23,431.44. For the first time we had a major sponsor Progress Energy. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event a success!
