Loaned Leader Program

Each year businesses, dedicated to making a difference in our community, loan bright, articulate, and outgoing employees to the United Way of Citrus County to assist with the annual community campaign. During this 12-week period, the loaned leaders receive professional training, both formal and on-the-job, and have excellent networking opportunities with community and business leaders.

Benefits to the Sponsoring Organization

Unique training and development opportunity for the employee. Prominent county-wide positioning and recognition for commitment to the community. Employee returns as a better manager, communicator, and leader with renewed enthusiasm.

Benefits to the Employee

Enhances leadership, planning, presentation and organizational skills. Broadens perspective, understanding and responsibility for community and corporate leadership. Excellent networking opportunity with top community and corporate leaders.

Loaned Leader Responsibilities

Successfully plan, manage and revitalize employee workplace campaigns. Make presentations to employee groups. Analyze account data and develop action plans to achieve goals. Provide training and support to company Employee Campaign Coordinators. Report campaign results accurately and within specified time frames. Help with fundraising events and Day of Caring.

Schedule Commitments

Full-time: On loan (32 hours or more per week) for a period of 12 weeks.

Part-time: On loan (16 hours or more per week) for a period of 12 weeks.

Dates: Mid-August to Mid-December


2006 Loaned Leader

Full-time: Brittany Tyler, Publix Supermarkets (Homosassa). Position was shared with United Way of Hernando County.

2005 Loaned Leader

Full-time: Kristin Nolan, Publix Supermarkets (Spring Hill). Position was shared with the United Way of Hernando County.

2004 Loaned Leader

Full-time: Kristin Nolan, Publix Supermarkets (Homosassa). Position was shared with the United Way of Hernando County.

2003 Loaned Leader

Full-time: Erin McNamara, Publix Supermarkets (Homosassa). Position was shared with the United Way of Hernando County.
